To learn basic commands with clicker training

Dogs love to do a favor to their owners. They love it when they get a reward and will do anything for it to get this! You decide what happens and this is why it is so fun to train him. Once a dog knows some basic commands, your relationship with your dog can be further developed. A good method to do this is by the "
clickermethod".
The principle of
clicker training is to associate the 'click' with the right behavior, to reward that behavior, and make sure your dog understands why he gets his reward. The
clickertraining is based on positive rewarding so that "punishment" isn't necessary. You can start by giving him treats and then continue to switch the treat with a hug or even your voice as reward.
You can learn almost anything to your dog from simple commands such as 'sit' and 'stay' or even to fetch the remote, or getting your slippers. Start with the base for example to say the name of your dog.
As soon as he listens or looks to you, you click and give him a kibble as a reward. He will quickly understand that when he hears his name and gives you his full attention, he is rewarded with a click and a treat. Use this as the basic principle for all the commands that you want to teach him. Always click and treat him when he does something well. When he did this once, you can start with more commands, like 'sit', 'stay' and 'down'.
Your dog sees everything as a game. It is much better to train briefly and several times a day than one long session. Over time, the commands can be executed in different places: in the living room, garden, kitchen, during walks, ..: in this way, the commands become simply for the dog in any situation and he will always be focused on you. Training helps to build up a lasting bond between you and your dog which results in a happy, obedient and well-trained dog.
