Young growing dogs may have insufficient
pigmentation on the nose, lips and mucous membranes, compared with older dogs which their pigment weakens by aging.
Some dogs occasionally lose their pigment, causing the nose to come white or pink. This is rarely a health problem. The cause can be found in which the skin cells lose some of their melanin. With the help of these dietary supplements this pigment loss can be slowed down or supported.
Breeds such as collies, huskies, eskimo dogs can only lose their pigment in winter.
