Hornet trap with funnel lid for Asian hornet

The Asian hornet, also known as the yellow-legged hornet (Vespa velutina), poses a growing threat to bee colonies and local wildlife. This hornet trap offers an effective and selective solution to catch hornets before they can damage your hives.

The trap consists of a transparent jar with a specially designed funnel lid. Hornets are attracted by bait (such as beer, fruit juice, or a specific hornet lure) and crawl in through the funnel opening. Once inside, they can no longer find their way out.

Thanks to the round grid with small openings, smaller insects such as bees and wasps can leave the trap again, while the larger hornets remain trapped. This way you protect specifically against hornets without unnecessarily catching useful pollinators.

The trap is made of sturdy, weatherproof plastic and is easy to hang near hives, fruit trees, or other spots where hornet activity has been noticed. After use, the jar can be emptied and reused.
