Use

Carefully insert the detangling comb under the tangle or matted hair and carefully cut through the matted area with short strokes. Note: The teeth of the detangling comb are sharp.

Cleaning

Any hair left on the handle can easily be removed with a damp cloth or by running the handle under the tap.
