The trap works with a selective capture system: hornets are attracted by the bait and crawl in through the opening, but can no longer find their way back out. Smaller insects such as bees and wasps can, however, escape again through the adapted openings, so you catch only hornets without harming useful pollinators.
The trap is easy to open for cleaning and refilling with bait, and can be reused season after season.
